Prohibited Wireless Devices
print icon

There are several types of devices that operate at the same frequency as APUWIFI and will cause interference. Use of these wireless devices is strictly prohibited on campus.

Below is a list of some (but certainly not all) of the devices that are prohibited on campus:

  • Wireless printers
  • Wireless routers
  • Wireless A/V senders
  • Wireless speaker systems
  • Cordless phones

Students are asked to disable the wireless broadcasting capability of any prohibited device. Failure to comply with this restriction will result in removal of the device from the campus and subject to possible disciplinary action.

If there is any question whether a device conflicts with APU’s wireless network, please contact the IT Support Desk at (626) 815-5050 or via email at [email protected].
